I absolutely love Christmas time! Since I was a little girl, my stomach would get insane butterflies just thinking about my favorite holiday. This year was no different and we were so blessed to spend time with family before hand and have a quiet Christmas at home.
Ben totally spoiled me and our little man. One of my favorite gifts was a colored pencil drawing Ben did for me. We're going to put it in the nursery. So crazy to think that our son will be here next year.
We went to Idaho to see my parents a few days before Christmas and it was nice to be home. I never thought I'd miss feeding the cows or watering huge horse troughs, but I have. And the warmth from my parent's homemade wood stove never felt so warm. I got to do a little shopping for my Mom with my Dad and we had our traditional McDonald's breakfast after shopping. As my Dad said, "The food's not great, but tradition is tradition."
While we were in Idaho, we also got to spend some time with my dear friend, Gaia. We met my senior year of high school when she came from Italy as an exchange student. We have kept in touch and she is seriously one of the brightest, sweetest people and so full of energy. While she was here, we made her an epic sweater for an ugly sweater party. From the bells we sewed down the sleeves to the tinsel tree on the back, that thing was pretty awesome.

The boys have definitely liked having Ben home during the break. There has been a lot of snuggling and relaxing on the couch, as you can see. :)

| I know this looks like torture, but Sam loves wearing our hoodies. |
All in all, we had a great Christmas. I'm so thankful for family and friends to share the holidays with.
