Seven months!
Hey Jude,
Today you are seven months old (almost four months by your adjusted age). It seems like yesterday your dad and I were meeting you for the first time. You have grown and developed leaps and bounds since then. We are so proud of you. We can't stop staring and talking to you. What did we do with ourselves before you came along?
Oh, yeah. We dreamed and wished for you. You are just all we hoped for and more and I wanted to write down a few cute things you did this month so that I can remember them.
You have found your voice and jabber so deliciously with us all the time. One night, you had just woken up and were getting hungry. I was warming your bottle but not fast enough. I heard your angry shrieks and yells (not your typical cry) and couldn't help but giggle. You're getting demanding in your old age!
The other day you had your first blow out. As in soooo much poop in every crevice, I just stuck you in the shower. Why am I telling you this? Well, because you thought it was hilarious! My scrunched, horrified face made you squeal and my shrieks of disgust at finding poo on your NECK were just too much for you to handle. Now every time you fart, you laugh. And I brace myself for what may lie in your diaper and everywhere else.
You rolled over for the first time this month! There you were, despising and loathing tummy time, then, WHAM! You rolled on your back. You were pretty scared at first, but now you're realizing it gets you out of tummy time, so it's good.
Last, but not least, at the end of the month, you get to ditch your oxygen!! Praise the maker! You've only been wearing it at night, but we are all ready to kiss that tank good bye. No more tripping on the cord, lugging around tanks and monitors, or trying to keep the cannula in your nose. Seven months and we will finally get to see all of your beautiful, errr, handsome face.
Anyway, son, we're just having the best time with you. Thanks for letting us be your parents.
XOXO,
Momma
