Jude's Third Month
It's happening. My baby is growing like a weed before my eyes. It's insane to think our itty bitty one-pounder is now a whopping six and a half. The little boy who used to fit in my sports bra now spans the length of my torso. His rosy, totally kissable cheeks are by far his cutest and most irresistible feature.
He has come so far. Not just in size, but in so many other ways. In the last three months, Jude has learned to breath on his own, eat by mouth, and respond to the stresses of life as a preemie like a big boy.
Our latest and most frustrating hurdle is feeding. Some days, he's totally awake and breastfeeds like a champ, while others are what we call "lazy" days when he doesn't want to eat at all. I know he can do it, but if I've learned anything from this, it is he will progress when he's good and ready.
I'm trying to be patient.
As always, here's the medical look at this month. I love that there are days where no changes were made, no new meds were started, and he was stable.
